Small Business Saturday and is an annual shopping event that takes place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

It’s is a great opportunity to explore local shops, perhaps find unique gifts, and support our local economy.

It's a day where the community comes together to celebrate and support the small businesses that give the city its unique flavor.

Upcoming Events to Check Out

• Small Business Red Carpet Event in the Plaza Downtown Las Cruces Saturday Nov 30th 8:30 am - 1 pm. In Combination with the Farmers & Crafts market this is going to be a special Saturday downtown.

• Looking for a good laugh? Check out the VIP Comedy Experience at Boba Cafe & Cabaret with Kool Bubba Ice & Friends Saturday Nov 30th 5:30 pm

• This looks to be a really cool event if you like live music and supporting musicians. Valley Sessions Live is at the The Hood in Mesilla Sunday Dec 01 starting at 3 pm. Showcasing 7 touring bands will be playing.

• The Nutcracker ballet is coming to town in December, get your tickets now. “It’s a classical two-act ballet that has become a beloved holiday tradition”.

Make a Note: Christmas Tree Lightings

Mesilla will be lighting their Christmas Tree on Dec 6th in the Plaza @ 5:30-6:30 pm

Las Cruces will be lighting their tree on Dec 7th at Plaza de Las Cruces @ 6-8 pm

New Business Opening

The beloved local Chavira’s Market has just opened a second location at 991 Sandcastle Ave (off of Del Rey). They just did a soft opening so all services are not available yet but coming soon. Directions 

Proposed Park and Botanical Garden Public Meeting

City of Las Cruces and Las Cruces Parks and Recreation is having a public meeting to view and discuss concept designs for a new neighborhood park, playground, and botanical garden at Villa Mora Dam Park which would be located at the corner of Madrid Avenue and Triviz Drive!
