Thursday in Las Cruces means the stages are waking up and the weekend is already leaning in the door. Somebody practiced this week. Somebody tuned a guitar in a hot garage, booked a patio, and hoped we’d actually leave the house.

That’s the deal. The musicians show up. The venues keep the lights on through another August that tried to melt the asphalt. All they need from us is to show up too — buy the drink or the ticket, tip the band, and tell a friend. Enjoy!

Labor Day weekend just got louder. The Harvest Wine & Music Festival is back at the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds Sept. 5–7, noon–6 p.m. daily.

Saturday Sept 05th: Kat Krosby & The Rythm Gators and The Retroz.

Sunday Sept 06th: Sangre Gitana, Jessika Sax, and Los Prefos 915.

Monday Sept 07th: Chris Baker & Friends, Taylor Paul, Isaac Arellano, Taner Huston, and Lacy Linebarger.

Plus a Techno Vino stage with Tony Rez (Sat/Sun) and karaoke Monday.

New Mexico wineries pouring, food trucks and vendors everywhere. All ages welcome.

The Black Box Theatre is bringing pure acoustic magic downtown with the “For the Love of the Black Box Acoustic Music Series.” Three intimate nights of world-class playing—classical guitar, storytelling, bluegrass, and more—without the usual bar chatter or stadium echo.

Every ticket helps Mesilla Valley Community of Hope’s Tents to Rents campaign, turning temporary shelter into real housing. Grab a seat (and do some good) Tickets $20.
