Hello Music Lovers,

I have said it many times before how amazed I am about all of the live music that is happening in our community. I have had people tell me they moved here because we have a more robust music scene in Las Cruces compared to El Paso.

So much thanks need to go to the local venues like NM Vintage, Madelyn’s, Rio Grande Winery, Icebox Brewery, Elephant Ranch, Amaro Winery and so many others that have made live music so accessible.

I started sharing about live music events originally in our local events issue but the more I searched the more I found. It quickly became apparent that it needed it own separate stand alone Live Music issue.

This issue takes more time than the local events newsletters and it is truly a labor of love. I get excited every time I find a new band or venue hosting live music that I can share with you!

So help me please and share this email with anyone that you think might like it. The more we share the more support the local musicians and venues receives to help grow the local music scene even more.

Grants Are Live! $2,500 Music in the Community Grants Now Open

LOCAL MUSIC SPOTLIGHT

Spotlight: Santana Garcia – Mesilla Valley Fingerstyle Storyteller

Las Cruces guitarist Santana Garcia turns the Rio Grande Valley’s open skies, pecan groves, and chile fields into hypnotic fingerstyle acoustic instrumentals. Born in El Paso and raised on family land near Anthony, he picked up the guitar at eight and evolved from punk and blues bands into meditative solo work that feels like the desert breathing.
