Hello {{First Name|Las Cruces}}, I woke up, it was a nightmare… dreaming of shoving snow and scraping frost off my windshield…Whew! Glad that is over and that I woke up in Las Cruces 🙂

The Mesilla Valley Film Society is a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 to bring independent, foreign, documentary, and other under‑represented films to audiences in southern New Mexico. Based at the historic Fountain Theatre in Old Mesilla, it programs week‑long runs and special screenings that you typically will not find at mainstream multiplexes, making it a key cultural hub for cinephiles in the Las Cruces area.​

The Fountain Theatre itself is New Mexico’s oldest movie house, a roughly 100‑seat arthouse cinema dating back to 1905 that now serves as home to the Mesilla Valley Film Society. Located just off the Mesilla plaza at 2469 Calle de Guadalupe, it pairs historic adobe charm with a curated film slate, volunteer-driven operations, and membership opportunities that help sustain this intimate, community‑oriented theater.
