Hello {{First Name|Las Cruces}},

Gosh it’s hot… but hey that is normal this time of year. Get out early stay cool. I found some fun things for you to do this week and weekend. Check these out….

Dogwalk at the Catwalk

🐾 Okay, this one’s got some serious tail-wagging energy for you and your pups!

Join April’s K911 Academy this Saturday at 8 AM at the TA Truckstop on Motel Blvd, then caravan out to the Catwalk in Glenwood, NM for a full day of adventure.

Your dogs will learn a proper meet-and-greet (no chaos, just good manners) before hitting the trail together. Never been to the Catwalk? It’s that gorgeous canyon spot with the famous suspended walkway — super cool, a little thrilling, and way more fun than scrolling your phone.

And yeah… we’re putting dogs and “Cat”walk in the same sentence. I see what they did there. 😉

RSVP required so April can keep the pack organized. Tell April you saw this in Live Love Las Cruces and more importantly have fun! More Info

Kayak 101 is calling you this Saturday

Southwest Expeditions is running their popular beginner class on the Rio Grande — meet at La Llorona Park, get solid instruction on strokes, safety, and reading the water, then paddle downriver with confidence. Gear, life jackets, and shuttle back included.

Ages 12+. Tandems and canoes available. Walk away ready to rent your own boats from their Las Cruces shop for future floats.

Spots go fast. Grab your ticket here

Full Moon 250th Commemoration Celebration at White Sands

White Sands National Park is hosting its first Full Moon Night of the year on Monday, June 29 at 8 p.m. — and they’re bringing the 1st Armored Division Rock Band from Fort Bliss to the amphitheater for a special set.

It’s a free, family-friendly evening celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the park’s long partnership with the U.S. military. Just pay normal park entry and roll up ready for live music under the full moon.

Big crowd expected, so give yourself extra time getting out there. Full details + directions here
