Blending Art with Music….

Discover How Local Artists Transform Music into Stunning Visuals at the Las Cruces Symphony!

The Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra's season opener on September 28-29 offers a unique blend of music and visual art, featuring Russian composers and locally-created watercolors.

Inspired by Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition," 19 local artists have created original paintings that will be displayed alongside the performance, mirroring the historical connection between Mussorgsky's composition and the artwork that inspired it.

This collaboration not only showcases our community's diverse artistic talents but also provides a rich, multisensory experience that brings classical music to life in a new and engaging way. Details
