Hello {{First Name|Las Cruces}},
Wow the fireworks were incredible, sure enjoyed the shows.
What could be more fun that visiting local wineries with friends and not having to drive while enjoying the beautiful Mesilla Valley views? Check this out.
If You Need an Excuse to Day-Drink with a View, This Is It
Skip the Saturday Costco run and let someone else do the driving while you sip your way down Highway 28.
The Weekend Wine Shuttle Tour is basically a rolling living room for wine lovers: three handpicked stops between Las Cruces and El Paso, about an hour at each winery or brewery, live music vibes, photos in the vines, and zero “who’s the designated driver?” drama. You just hop on in Las Cruces at 11:15 am (or El Paso at noon), cruise past pecan orchards and horse ranches, and hop off around 4:45 pm back in town, happy and sun-kissed. Drinks aren’t included, which is actually a win — tastings run about 5 to 20 bucks so you can go full flight nerd or keep it light and breezy.
Partner stops rotate but you’re looking at locals’ favorites like La Viña, Sombra Antigua, Rio Grande Winery, Icebox 28 Beer Garden, and more — the kind of spots where the staff remembers your face by the second pour. Round-trip ride, snacks, and a guide are all baked in; you just bring your people and your “let’s wander” energy.

Finally — something to do at 10:30pm on a Saturday night
If you've ever felt like Las Cruces rolls up the sidewalk after dark, the Mesilla Valley Film Society just fixed that. Night School is a new late-night film series at Fountain Theatre (right off Mesilla Plaza) running Saturday nights through August — think cult classics, horror gems, and underrated oddities that actually deserve to be seen on the big screen.
Each show kicks off with a PowerPoint deep-dive from film scholars Austin Wolf-Sothern, Rian Gonzales, and Jeff Bennett. Production history. Context. The stuff that makes rewatching a movie feel like discovering it for the first time.
First semester is "Movies at the Movies" — eight films that take place in or memorably feature a movie theater. July 11 starts with Popcorn (1991), then Taxi Driver (50th anniversary), The Blob (practical effects masterpiece), and keeps going through August.
$8. Saturdays at 10:30pm. This is the community spirit of cinema. https://mesillavalleyfilm.org/night-school/

Live Love Las Cruces Dinner Club

New to Las Cruces or just craving real connections in this town you love?
This is the night you don’t want to miss! So Much Fun!
We’re talking warm, zero-pressure community done right — personality-matched tables so the conversation actually flows, killer food, and those unexpected moments where you look up and realize you’re talking to people who feel like old friends already.
Newcomers feel instantly at home. Locals leave even more in love with this place.
Come sit at the table with us on Wednesday, July 15th at 5:30 pm.
📍 Own a Las Cruces business?
Real talk: 10,000+ locals open this newsletter for exactly one reason — to figure out where to spend their money in Las Cruces. Restaurants, dentists, HVAC, you name it. More than half of them open every single issue (most email lists would kill for a third of that).
I keep ad space deliberately scarce — just a few slots per issue, one business per category — so the folks who get in actually get noticed. A couple of those slots just opened up.
If you've been lighting money on fire with Facebook ads, consider this your sign.
That’s a wrap for this issue!
Please share with a friend who falls a little more in love with Las Cruces every time they catch that golden hour glow on the Organ Mountains… even when it’s still 102 degrees outside 🌄🥵
