I have a surprise for you especially if you have been wanting to make new friends in Las Cruces. See the details below for our new Live Love Las Cruces Dinner Club 🙂

I hope you're as excited about the Mesilla Valley Balloon Rally as I am. I can’t wait to see the balloons in the skies over Las Cruces. It's a three-day event featuring dawn ascensions and evening glows.

Starting this Friday January 16th there will be a Media and School Day at sunrise (approximately 7:00 a.m.) at the Field of Dreams and 5 city schools, showcasing corporate special-shaped balloons. Plus an additional city-wide surprise 🙂

Then Friday evening from 6 - 8 pm go to Plaza de Las Cruces for the Kick Off Glow with RC balloons illuminating to give you a taste of what to expect this weekend

On Saturday morning, January 17th, the Morning Ascension at sunrise (approximately 7:00 a.m.) at the Field of Dreams, with full-size balloons launching from the southwest dirt lot and RC balloons performing in the west parking lot.

Then on Saturday evening the Evening Glow takes place at sunset (approximately 5:30 p.m.) displaying all full-size and RC balloons also at Field of Dreams.

On Sunday January 18th the final Morning Ascension is scheduled at sunrise (approximately 7:00 a.m.) at the Field of Dreams, with full-size balloons launching from the dirt lot and RC balloons in the west parking lot.

Weather note: All ballooning is weather dependent, and pilots have the final say on whether conditions are safe enough to fly.

The 64 citations included 30 for speeding, 17 for having no vehicle registration and 11 for driving without proof of insurance. Ouch!
