Last Wednesday, 24 of us split up across four tables at restaurants around Mesilla — strangers at 6 pm, dinner companions by 6:15. Then came the best part: everyone reconvened at Hacienda de Mesilla and politely took over the entire patio.

There were stories. There was laughter that carried across the courtyard. There were phone numbers exchanged and "we should do this again" promises that — knowing this crew — will actually happen.

This is the whole point of Dinner Club: good food, new faces, and proof that making friends as an adult isn't impossible. It just takes a table and a reservation.
